The Email I Didn't Send
Last week I wrote an email I was sure I needed to send. You know the kind: the “just circling back” follow-up with a dash of “per my last message” energy. I even drafted a few clever jabs — polite, but pointed. And then I didn’t send it. Not because I cooled off. But because something in me asked: “What exactly do you win by being right here?” So I closed the tab. Hours later, they replied. Kindly. Apologetically. No drama. Sometimes the best move is no move at all. Rumi said: Not every fire needs more wood. Y. |
