In 'Eyes of Gold', we invite some of our favourite tastemakers with a golden eye to select three works from the Bisou collection. Each guest explains their choices and shares how these pieces might live together in their space.

For the latest edition of the series, we invited Malika Favre. Malika is a French artist based in Barcelona, known for her bold, colourful illustrations. You’ve likely come across her work before: graphic, minimal, but very refined, which might explain our shared love for the Japanese artist Kumi Sugaï.

You might also know her as half of the curated Instagram account I Can’t Afford This But Maybe She Can, a personal wishlist of all things bold and beautiful.

Introducing Alan Nguyen

Alan Nguyen (b.1986) is an American artist and designer currently working and residing in Amsterdam. He graduated from the University of Houston's Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture + Design in 2011, specializing in digital fabrication. Alan started his career as a designer at the pioneering 3D print design studio, Freedom Of Creation, where he was introduced to the world of 3D printing.

Alan is a master of his craft, unafraid to embrace imperfections as an essential part of his process. He’s always exploring the edges of what’s technically possible, pushing the machines to their limits. His pieces carry a mix of delicate sensitivity and boldness in colour, shape or size, all held within a deliberate architectural structure.
