Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well and yes it's another newsletter for you this week, one that starts with a recap of a great long weekender in Miami for Art Basel. Thanks to the good people at Dante's Hifi I was glad to rock 8 hours straight, strictly vinyl with my brother Dvize for his own night "Pressure". We also celebrated Rich Medina's birthday at 12 so the energy was in the room. Even tough there was a bigger party happening outside in the courtyard, nothing is comparable to the vibe inside, it's cozy, the sound is great and it's dark. It's Art Basel so the room was also filled with people from our scene and also with a crowd from all around the USA. It was just one of those perfect nights, planets aligned and the music hit the right spots. From Moodymann to Rashida and Natasha Diggs, it sure was a special night. Big up to the whole Dante's Hifi family and everyone else I catched up with the days before, The Do-Over fam, Skratch Bastid and his bbq and everyone i hung and shaked hands with on those days...lovely long weekend in MIA.

Last gigs of the year for meMy last three gigs of the year will happen this weekend in my hometown, probably a great way to end the year. So yeah no NYE party for me, it's never been something I was into to start with so this friday and saturday you'll find me rocking turntables and CDJ's at Crevette Records at 20:00, followed by a friendly - I invite all my friends - type of gig at Öken on friday and sadly also the closing party for La Cabane club which will cease its activities unfortunately. Think Outside The Kiosk live from MiamiYes from Miami, like pretty much after the gig and with 3 hours of sleep I jumped in a car to local community radio station (I can call home now) called Jolt Radio. A beautiful creative space and an amazing studio with a nice gentleman called John. He was happy to host my show at noon on the sunday although they are usually closed that day. A blessing to have people dedicated to making connections with radiostations around the world, love to connect Kiosk Radio to other stations worldwide. So here's the latest show, it contains a lot of new and unreleased material, also I talk a lot on this show for some reason, blame it on the lack of sleep and 23 hours of no food, just no time to eat, I know it's crazy but it happens every now and then. Big up to Jolt Radio in Miami, give them a visit when you're in town. Back at the shack in Brussels next sunday!  |
