I used to work at a company made up of people from all walks of life. In the same day, I could speak with someone who believed we were doomed and powerless to change anything. Later, I could speak with the general manager, someone who had the power to influence major decisions within the company and beyond. Two completely different perspectives existed in the same space. That diversity made the workplace better. Different people asked for different things, challenged assumptions, and brought new ideas.
