It was a great experience, and I was especially taken by the street art. At Beco do Batman, the walls are covered in graffiti, including more than a few versions of Batman. While walking there, I remembered a visit to the STRAAT museum in Amsterdam last December. One exhibition featured work connected to NaLata Festival 2025, where artists painted murals in São Paulo. I liked the idea so much that it was the first time I became interested in visiting Brazil. Nine months later, I found myself in São Paulo. I had not made a plan to follow that exhibition across the world. A work opportunity brought me there, and suddenly a place I had encountered through art was right in front of me. That is what serendipity felt like this week. The museum visit did not cause the trip, but it made me recognise something special when I arrived.
