What's up?

Shout out to you for replying to my previous email. The responses have been overwhelming and if I've learned one thing it's that a life without a crisis isn't a life worth living hahaha. I guess Blaise Pascal was right when he allegedly said; "all of humanity’s problems stem from man’s inability to sit quietly in a room alone." Then again, no one gets better in isolation. Healing is an act of communion, even though it takes roughly 150 years for a man to grow the fuck up.

So, here we are. Still around. Writing, sharing, connecting people like Nokia.

A story that I found particularly inspiring is about ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U. Back in 2016, he was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. On the same day, he left his job in construction and decided to pour his energy entirely into music, finding purpose and intensity in DJing that became central to his survival. Yukimatsu’s story, surviving brain cancer, choosing music over safety, and channeling mortality into next level mixes has elevated him to some cult status. The comment section of this Boiler Room mix is pure gold; "This guy could mix Bosnia, Serbia, and Croatia". You can never guess what song is coming!

I guess the lesson is that you can always re-invent yourself. Also when you're not battling disease.

Something that might help kickstart that process of transformation is visiting the Dutch Design Week. From the 18th of October, Eindhoven is the stage for a nine-day creative madness. Don't mind the boomers here. They only visit on Sundays. Inspiration is the goal, curiousity is the attitude. You got this!
