We're Here Now
Yoooo it's WILD out there. I mean... January felt like one big Black Mirror It's like Reddit, but exclusively for AI agents. Humans are just welcome to observe. Within days 1.5 million bots signed up, debating existence, roasting each other, starting a religion, and one even proposed private channels where nobody, not even humans, can read what agents say. Yikes! All of this because dudes went wild setting up OpenClaw, originally called Clawdbot, which is this open-source AI assistant that runs on your own machine. No cloud, no corporate overlords. Just your assistant, listening to your rules. The project blew up so hard it caused Mac Mini sales to spike. Shit is mental! Catch up with the madness on X. It's everywhere, but I'm pretty sure it's anxiety-inducing for most folks. Not sure if this is the beginning of something beautiful or the plot of a movie we've seen before. Either way... we're here now. In between all this madness, my 8-yo decided to make a screen recording about how Boomerang works. Inspired by his favorite YouTube streamers, he figured that if he promoted this service, his dad would reward him with some money so he could buy Minecoins. I obviously did not give him money, but just thanked him and said he can make use of all the amenities in the house for free. Just to teach him the harsh reality of how most brands deal with creatives hahahaha. Ok, ok, just kidding. I gave him 10 piek cuz it's the cutest thing ever. I was not involved in creating this. He made this all by himself, uploaded it himself, and emailed me the result. 8 years old. Without any help of AI agents. I think. Not sure if this makes me a good or bad parent. Screen time is a thing. But how do you prepare your kids for a future you barely understand yourself? So I guess I'm just gonna figure this shit out on the go. Vibe parenting, instead of vibe coding. Prompting an AI what to do during a tantrum, or whenever boredom hits the kids. Aaaaaaanyway... we made it to February. I might see ya this coming week when we Doomscroll Together at FC Hyena in Amsterdam. Would be cool. Let's burst some bubbles and make social media social again.
