New Album "Voya" by Tineke Postma Out Today!
Hi there, I hope you are very well! This is a very special day for me; my new release VOYA featuring Theo Bleckmann is out on today! The album is available on all platforms and released by Clap Your Hands (Zwitserland) (Please consider Bandcamp, this platform is so much more supportive of musicians and advocating for a fair music industry). I'm beyong excited for this album to be released and so stoked that my journey keeps on unfolding in many so many beautiful ways, along my group consisting of David Dorůžka (guitar, Prague), Robert Landfermann (double bass, Cologne), and Tristan Renfrow (drums, Amsterdam). After years of touring across the world together with my group, I really am proud that we have developed a personal sound and approach.
I invited Grammy nominated vocalist Theo Bleckmann (New York City) to join us for this recording which turned out even more beautiful then I could have imagined.

Theo is known for his genre-blurring work across jazz, new music, and experimental sound and I'm so thrilled to begin this new collaboration with one of my most favorite vocalists on the international scene today- we'll tour in December 2026.
The album title VOYA reverberates on multiple planes. It calls upon “voyage,” a passage outward and inward; pays tribute to “the voice,” honoring Bleckmann’s presence as instrument; and lastly, this album title expresses Oya, the Yoruba wind goddess of transformation, breath, and storm. Here, VOYA becomes a journey through wind, voice, and spirit—a space beyond sound, a vessel for listening and reflection. The artwork of VOYA comes from Johanna von Oldershausen, who also made the artwork of my previous album ARIA. This work is a collage of pictures and is called "Traunsee".
