Brought to you by the first peaches of the season. 👋🏽 Hello, everyone! Sometimes it feels like life is coming at you from all angles, and you're just like, ... but life just keeps going so you just have to roll with it. That is where I am today. BUT! I did get to see BTS in concert TWICE and the shows were fantastic and at the second show we had VIP sound check floor seats and the guys were like THIS close and I could not believe I was seeing them THAT CLOSE and even Justin turned to me and was like, "This is crazy." 💜 And friends, it was crazy, but good crazy, and I shall never forget that experience! I tried to remember to take some photos or videos but like, BTS was just RIGHT THERE and I couldn't function, so here are a few that Justin took: What have you been up to? I've been:
📚 ReadingStop Letting Everything Affect You - a quick audio-book listen with lots of pithy quotes about boundaries and people-pleasing and hyper vigilance and all those things I need reminders of. One & Only - cute romance steeped in Korean culture, with the soulmate trope thrown in for good measure. The Healing Power of Korean Letter Writing - random audiobook that was super short and not really mind-blowing but did remind me how much I enjoy snail mail. Wish You Were Her - I read this article aloud to Justin on the road last week, and it was SO good. The title alone is so smart! You may not think you would be interested in reading about a celebrity impersonator cruise convention, but you are, you totally are. Currently (slowly) reading: Sapiens, Man's Search for Meaning

📺 WatchingYouTube Netflix The Plastic Detox: I’m not great at watching TV or movies (so much commitment! so much emotional absorption!), but I decided to try watching documentaries, which seem less demanding of my deep thoughts and imagination somehow. After watching this one, I’m ready to ditch all our plastic items and outfit our home in Japanese and Korean wood utensils, ceramics, linens… 💸 You Are What You Eat: A Twin Experiment: I love things about identical twins! No surprises here in comparing a plant-based diet to an omnivorous diet, but it was interesting to be reminded that not everyone has the level of nutrition education I do, that some things about health and food safety are not just a given in people’s lives, and that most farmed salmon is really, really sad. 😒
