You're receiving this because you signed up for one of our products (foto foto, Boomerang, Claro, Nendo, or Rumicat). One-click unsubscribe at the bottom, anytime. It's been a busy month. More orders, more feedback and more conversations with you across all our products. Reading your replies and seeing what you make with our stuff is the best part of what we do. Thank you for all of it 🙏 We also sold our first product as a studio: Prosus bought Boomerang. Nalden tells the whole story in his newsletter. As for Nternet, nothing changes. We're still here, we're not going anywhere, and this just gives us more room to build. Speaking of building, here's what we worked on in September! 📔 foto fotoYou bring the photos, we make the bookPhoto book club - we hosted an evening all about photo books with Analogue at PRE-RESERVED in Amsterdam. Here's how it went. On Instagram - we've been sharing a lot more there lately, and we're almost at 1,000 followers. Come say hi. A better photo picker - our photo picking tool got an update. It now finds the moments and asks you a few quick questions about what matters, then picks the best photos for your book. It's coming to the app soon, but you can try it already. For the nerds - foto foto now has an API and an MCP, so your AI assistant can make a photo book for you: hand it your photos, get back a link to your book. Here's how to connect. We're also waiting for ChatGPT to review our foto foto app, so soon you'll be able to make books there too. Lots of small improvements - we ship a lot of small fixes that don't all fit in here, so we now have a changelog that updates as we roll them out. Every update comes with its own little clip, so it's worth a look just for those. We also have a really big update coming up that improves a lot of our service:
To go with it, we redesigned the whole app experience. The new book preview, for example, shows the details that make a book feel right: how the colours print, how the cover material looks, how thick the paper is, even how the spine grows with every page. Here's a sneak peek:
New on explore - a few really good new books just landed on our explore page, including Bluets by David van Dartel, the one in the sneak peek. A good place to start if you haven't checked out foto foto in a while. 🧸 Nendo (beta)Bring your drawings to life. We've had a few really happy, and a little surprised, messages when a Nendo arrived, mostly about how much detail there is. Thank you for sending those. Nendo for pets - we made Nendos of pets more accurate and gave them a page of their own. Send a photo of your dog or cat and get a small one of them for the shelf. Here are a few, on screen and at home:
More real examples - a few of you told us the main thing holding you back was seeing real ones, so we're doubling down: the homepage now shows more real Nendos, and we keep adding more as people give us permission to share theirs. We also added a cool new footer! Bulk order support - a few of you asked, so we now support business purchases: add your VAT number and get a proper invoice. Need a Christmas gift for the office? Reply and we'll sort out a bulk discount. Nendo Dash - making Nendos was fun, so we made a little racing game starring your own Nendo. It runs on your phone, which is our polite way of saying it's built for bathroom breaks. Go play. 🐈 RumicatThe cute newsletter service for real humans.Sharper claws - a few people tried to use our cat to send phishing emails, so we sharpened its claws. Every newsletter now gets a closer look before it goes out, and anything that looks off waits for a human. Your newsletters go out like always. The scammers' don't. Pricing and comparisons - one of the most common questions we get is what's included and what isn't, so we finally made a proper pricing page (spoiler: most of it is free) and comparisons with other tools. 📱 ClaroYour link in bio, on WhatsApp.Always shows up - your page now appears the moment it loads, everywhere, even in the browsers inside apps like Instagram. 🪃 BoomerangSimple file sharing for you and yours.Same Boomerang as always: still no ads, no tracking and no training on your files. We might stop covering it here soon, but it will get its own place for updates, and if there's anything important, we'll make sure you all hear about it. One more thing before we go... We also added a playground to the Nternet website, where we post the occasional experiment. Like this one, a Nintendo DS style game demo for Nendo:
Let us know if this kind of stuff is interesting, and if it deserves a (short) section at the end of these emails. If you read all the way down here: thank you, you're cool people. Your feedback guides us, so tell us: what should we be working on? Just hit reply. N. |
