Rumicat is not for everyone.

Rumicat is small on purpose, which makes it the wrong tool for plenty of people. Here's how it stands against Substack, beehiiv, Buttondown, Ghost, Kit, Mailchimp, MailerLite, Medium and TinyLetter. Where one of them suits you better, we'll say so.

What we made

  • A page that's yours. Pick a color, or add a background to show your unique personality.
  • A plain editor. Write what you have to say, send yourself a preview and hit send.
  • A list of people who chose to be there, and a public archive of everything you've sent.
  • One price that covers all of it, and it's free for your first 300 readers.

That's the whole thing. We charge for it on purpose. Free products get closed, and we'd like to still be here in five years.

Every one of these is a reasonable thing to want, and none of them are here. If you need one, we'd rather you had the tool that does it properly.
