Rumicat is a MailerLite alternative for people who found the builder more tiring than the writing.
MailerLite is a good email marketing suite and it's cheap for what it does. Drag-and-drop builder, automations, landing pages, forms, e-commerce, surveys.
Rumicat has none of that. There's no builder because there's only one layout, and no automations because there's only one kind of send.
MailerLite is for small businesses and marketers who need real email marketing without enterprise pricing. Automation flows, signup forms in several styles, a landing page to put them on, all for very little money.
It's the sensible answer when the newsletter is one part of a wider marketing effort.
Rumicat is for when the newsletter is the whole thing.
One layout, one kind of send, one page. You never pick a template, because picking a template is the moment a lot of newsletters quietly stop existing.
We'd rather you sent something plain than designed something perfect and never sent it.
MailerLite exports subscribers as a CSV and we import one. Automations, forms and landing pages stay behind, since we don't have any of those.

If you never touched the builder or the automations, yes. If you used them, you'll miss them immediately.
At small sizes the difference that actually bites is the free tier. MailerLite allows 250 subscribers and caps you at 2,500 emails a month. We allow 300 subscribers.
Because a template is a decision you have to make before you're allowed to write, and that decision has killed more newsletters than bad writing ever has.
You get one layout that already looks right, and the color choice lives on your page instead of inside your email.
