"Roads were made for journeys, not destinations."- Confucius The journey is the point
We often focus so much on the result that we forget to enjoy the path that gets us there. Whether it is work, personal goals, or even a simple trip, our attention is usually fixed on the destination. At times, this creates anxiety. We worry about outcomes, timelines, and expectations, and in doing so we miss the experience itself. The irony is that when we look back, it is rarely the destination we remember most. It is the moments along the way, the small details, the unexpected turns. And when we do not appreciate those moments, we often wish we had. We wish we had slowed down, paid more attention, and enjoyed it more. Tags |
