Dear Yogi friend, My teacher in a yoga training I am currently part of said the other day: "We think that getting into the headstand will bring us glossy hair and lifelong health but actually, it's those who know how to lie down properly in śavāsana who reep the true rewards of yoga."
Śavāsana is perhaps THE most important āsana (physical pose) of yoga because we gain so many benefits:
So essentially this position allows opportunity to re-learn how to be in our natural state, which is—BLISS. "The beauty of meditation...in which all fears, desires, longings and negative emotions are transcended." - Swami Vishnu-devananda.
If you would like to join me in exploring how to get back to this part of yourself I invite you to: 🧘 Try this 20 minute resting in śavāsana practice. 🧘 Reply to this email with YES PLEASE! if you'd like the Zoom link to join my FREE online 40 minute restorative yoga practice on Wednesday 2nd September @ 7pm UK. I look forward to meeting you on our mats. With love, Alice 🙏🏻
