“Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.”- Seneca The Hidden Part of LuckPeople often describe luck as being in the right place at the right time. I think there is another part to it that matters just as much: you actually need to be there. If you never show up, you never give luck a chance to find you. This week reminded me of that. Lindsay and I have wanted to buy something specific for our home for the past year. We were never in a rush, so we waited. Then suddenly, we came across a huge sale with a price far lower than expected. It felt like pure luck. But the opportunity only mattered because we already knew what we wanted and were ready to act when the moment appeared. Sometimes luck is simply staying around long enough for opportunity to meet preparation. Tags |
