Hope you're had a nice Halloween weekend 🎃 We spent most of October carving out the big Foto Foto update, and it's almost here. Foto Foto is also on Android now. Here's what we worked on in October! 📔 Foto FotoYou bring the photos, we make the bookNew materials - the big update is almost here. This is what's in it:
We expect it to go live in a few days. Want it before that? Send us a message and we'll set up your book with the new materials. It shows up on our What's New page as soon as it's live. A new editor - the one we showed you last month is live. Your book opens like a real one: turn it around, flip through the pages and click on anything to change it, from the layout of a page to the design and colour of the cover. It's 3D, so we also put a lot of work into making it fast on phones, older ones included. Here's what that looks like:
On Android - Foto Foto is now on Google Play, so you can make a book straight from the photos on your phone. We're also waiting for Apple to review our iOS app. Know someone there who can pull a few strings? Let us know 🙏 Price calculator - pick standard or layflat, a cover, a paper and the number of pages, and see exactly what your book will cost. Try it here. Photo picker - we're close to adding the new version of our photo picking tool to the app. It sorts your photos into the parts of your story, like the places you went on a trip, and makes sure every part gets a spot in your book. More cover designs- we're preparing to launch our new designs in November. Analogue x Foto Foto - our friends at Analogue now have their own version of Foto Foto. Get your film developed there and turn the roll straight into a book. Go show them some love. It's Nice That - there's a piece about Foto Foto on their site, with books by David van Dartel and Guido de Bruin from our explore page. The Creative Lab - we had a stand at their pop-up at PRE-RESERVED in Amsterdam. Here's how it went. Our Instagram also just passed 1,000 followers, thank you! Security - we also spent some time on security this month. The rest of what we shipped is on our What's New page. 🧸 NendoBring your drawings to life.A sturdier material - we're switching to a new material from our printer. The difference is subtle: same little guy, just tougher. We're doing the final checks now, and then we'll start printing with it. Clear pricing - a new page shows what a Nendo costs at different sizes. More real Nendos - people keep making cool ones. Here are a few more they let us share:
Security - Nendo got the same full security check as Foto Foto. Have a play at nendo.world. 🐈 RumicatThe cute newsletter service for real humans.Routine security work - more people are using Rumicat, so we're also seeing more bots. Some of them tried to send spam to big lists so we made a few more improvements to keep spammers out and your deliverability top-notch. Plus the small stuff - a newsletter you schedule now also reaches people who subscribe in the meantime, and your pages load even faster. 📱 ClaroYour link in bio, on Telegram. Now on Telegram - Claro moved from WhatsApp to Telegram. Already have a page? Message Claro on WhatsApp and you'll get a link that moves it over. We also have some ideas for where to take Claro next, so stay tuned. 🧪 In the labWe all feel that it's time to add something new to the shelf. Lately we've been prototyping again and exploring ideas for new products. If you run into anything interesting, send us some cool products for inspiration. Digital, physical or a bit of both. For humans or for agents :) How are you doing? Thanks for reading all the way down here, you're cool people. If there's anything we should read or check out, just hit reply. We read every single one.
